I recently performed at Washington, DC's first "Trillectro" festival with my band. Trillectro is a new festival started by the fellas over at DC to BC. It combines performances from Hip-hop & Electronic artists alike.
I had great time performing, this festival is such a good thing for my home town.

Trek Life DC Release Party & Diamond District Show

This Saturday, July 31, 2010 will be a great day for Hip Hop in Washington DC. Trek Life will be coming to DC for the first time to celebrate the release of his new album "Everything Changed Nothing". Trek will also be DJ'ing and premiering songs from my next three releases. details below

5th Annual J Dilla Tribute & Fund Raiser

The DMV loves Dilla each and every day, but this Friday heads are really expected to come out and represent for the 5th Annual J Dilla Tribute and Fundraiser. The Washington, DC music community will come together once again for a night filled with hip hop and soul to honor the legacy of beatmaker, producer and DJ extraordinaire J Dilla who lost his battle with lupus in 2006. This year's tribute is on tap to be the largest yet, with a venue change to the Black Cat and with special guest Talib Kweli headlining the event, which will feature local talent galore such as Kokayi, Diamond District and Alison Carney to name a few. The brainchild of J Laine who will serve as the evening's musical director, proceeds from the event will benefit the J Dilla and Lupus Foundations. Tickets are on sale for the low-low of $15 in advance and $20 day of the show at the Black Cat box office or online at TicketAlternative.

Last night I participated in Boom Box's Producer Showcase Vol.7. The line up was, myself, Exile, Samiyam & J. Bizness. I really enjoyed listening to the other producers as a fan. The diversity between our productions styles made it such a well rounded event.

From Pittsburgh to New Mexico, There are many times that I stop and say... I love what I do. Trek Life and I headed down to the University of New Mexico, Las Cruces to Headline an outdoor festival. Thank you so much to everyone involved , Trek and I had a wonderful time and you all are amazing people! Before we went home we got Fish tacos and stopped at the Mexican border. SXSW 2010

After blogging the Diamond District, Trek Life & DJ Quartermaine European tour, I decided to chill a bit on SXSW. Instead of blogging as everything happened, I truly wanted to just enjoy it all in the moment. There was so much amazing music & people I only get to see when events bring us together.
